Sometimes, you just have to wonder what planet the “woke” Christian alliance lives on. They claim the name of Christ, but you also have to wonder what Jesus they serve. I’m going to go out on a limb and say it isn’t the Jesus of the Bible.

The Witness — aka the Center for Liberation Theology — tweeted the following:

As you can see, Jemar Tisby, a racist advocate for slave reparations and the destruction of “whiteness” (whatever that is) retweeted this. But who is this man they’re praising as though he’s the next best thing to walk the Earth since Christ?

Gangsta rapper, Nipsey Hussle, was shot and killed outside of a clothing store in Los Angeles on March 31. A memorial service will be held for him today at the Staples Center. Hussle, whose real name was Ermias Asghedom, was a foul-mouthed rapper — and when I say foul, I mean seriously fetid — who spouted racially hateful lyrics and bragged about his intentions and ability to take the life of other people. Hussle was also a member of the Crips gang.

Here is a small sampling of some of his lyrics. Please don’t read out loud in front of your children, but it is necessary to expose this in order to show the mentality of the people comparing this guy’s life to Jesus.

nipsey hussle lyrics

Keep in mind, Jemar Tisby believes this guy “inspired hope” and “lived a life of God’s grace allowed.”

In a video on Twitter, “Rapper who happens to be Christian,” Lecrae declared that he wants to see Nipsey Hussle’s ideals “continue to thrive.” You know, those ideals like “having two extendos in my MAC, n***a.” “Smoking weed,” having a foul mouth. Those ideals, because, you know, they inspire so much hope in underprivileged neighborhoods and communities.

Here’s the bottom line — this man isn’t a hero because of any moral standards or faith or hope he inspired in anyone. This man is a hero because he’s black.

Tyler Burns, a youth pastor in Pensacola, Florida, as well as a television show host — also a writer for The Gospel Coalition and the Reformed African American Network responds to a question asked of him regarding the death of this individual.

If you’ll notice, Burns assumes that all black people in our churches are going to be mourning over this guy because he’s black. That’s racist. He says “check in with black members multiple times to specifically see how they’re processing the news.” Here’s my advice, if you have anybody in your church who listen to this guy’s music or are otherwise immersed in the life or lifestyle of this rapper, they should be placed under discipline.

And what exactly does Burns want pastors to say from the pulpit? It took me 30 seconds to familiarize myself with Nipsey’s life — 30 seconds. And it took me 30 seconds to realize that this guy isn’t someone any Christian should be praising or following in any manner. And I do believe that pastors should be addressing the same things Nipsey addressed. In fact, you can find a pretty good description of Nipsey’s life in Romans 1:28-32,

And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

And it looks like God is giving over the woke Christian crowd too.
