A man who has “transitioned” into a “woman”—it’s legitimately hard to even write that with a straight face—claims that not Jesus, not salvation, not even anything remotely related to God’s word, but his “transgenderism” is actually the bread given to him by God.
What is he talking about, you ask?
This man, who is now ordained in the Church of England and goes by “Rev. Sarah Hobbs,” speaking at the 2026 “Love Wins Conference” last week, references Matthew 7:9—“if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone?”
Hobbs explains that he had been praying and asking God to give him bread by removing his transgender feelings from him, but during all these years, he thought God had been giving him stones.

But one day, he realized that God wasn’t actually giving him stones, God was giving him bread all along.
And that bread was his “transgenderism,” and his only option was to “transition.”
Never mind that his “transition” caused him to divorce his wife. Never mind that his “transition” separated his children from their father and mother. Never mind that his decision caused irreparable harm to everyone else, and led to more sin.
His rebellion against God was the “bread of life.”
And now, he could restore his relationship with God.
The more remarkable thing here isn’t that some weirdo thinks he’s a woman and started dressing like one. The more remarkable thing is that they use God to justify their sin. Scripture is no longer allowed to define reality and confront the sinner’s rebellion. Instead, a person’s personal desires and hatred of God become the defining authority used to shape their reality.
The Bible calls this blasphemy.
And calling evil “good” will never go unpunished.
