While most of the Evangelical landscape is celebrating the overturning of Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court, there are a handful out there who are hell-bent on destroying the pro-life movement by hijacking it to include a socialist and Marxist agenda.

Russell Moore—the former Southern Baptist Convention executive who has unabashedly called on conservatives to stop fighting the “culture wars” because that’s not what Christians are supposed to do, apparently—still in many ways represents the progressive wing of the Southern Baptist Convention. Moore’s ideological assault on conservatism didn’t end when he departed the denomination last year, he simply moved his offensive to a different arena.

During Moore’s tenure in the Southern Baptist Convention, he spent an inordinate amount of time verbally assaulting then-president Donald Trump and criticizing every move he made. Leading up to Trump’s inauguration, Moore published hundreds of tweets, social media posts, and articles lambasting Trump as a morally bankrupt and corrupt politician who would do nothing for this nation and especially Christians.

Moore’s argument was consistently “never Trump” because anyone, including the Democrat candidate, held the moral high ground.

And despite the fact that Moore was proven wrong, and despite the fact that it was Donald Trump who packed the Supreme Court with Constitutionalists who would objectively rule on the legitimacy of previous court rulings including Roe v. Wade, Moore insists that Trump voters are not vindicated because other, more progressive Republicans would have also done the same thing. Further, he argues that having the pro-life movement tied to Donald Trump is not worth it. I guess he, like his protégé, Karen Swallow Prior, would rather millions more babies die than have to admit they were wrong about Trump.
