A new law in China, titled “Measures for the Administration of Internet Religious Information Services,” will take place starting tomorrow, March 1, 2022, and will strictly forbid the sharing and exchanging of any religious information online, including social media.

Exceptions are made for content by the nation’s two registered churches, the Roman Catholic Church and the Protestant Three-Self Patriotic Movement, both false churches that adhere strictly to the statist (a heresy gaining popularity in many Christian denominations) requirements the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) places on religious organizations.

Gatherings of any churches or religious organizations outside of China’s approved organizations are already illegal, however, sharing content online has not been completely disallowed until this law takes place. Since in-person gatherings of unapproved churches have seen intense crackdowns by the CCP, many have taken to social media to form underground online gatherings.

This all ends March 1st.

According to Nikkei, a U.S.-based human rights organization, Freedom House “estimates that China is home to 60 million to 80 million Protestants and about 12 million Catholics, including those in underground churches not recognized by the Communist Party — a combined total comparable to the party’s membership of 95 million. The group puts China’s Muslim population at 21 million to 23 million.”

“The new rules, drafted by five departments including the State Administration for Religious Affairs,” reports Nikkei, “ban the creation of religious organizations or schools online, as well as efforts to attract new followers. Non-Chinese individuals and groups will face especially tight restrictions.”

The Chinese Communist Party, as well as all socialist governments around the world including the Democrat Party in the United States, is at odds with conservative, biblical Christianity because it opposes the notion that the state is the highest authority. Biblical Christianity teaches that God alone is the highest authority and that the state is subservient to God and under His sovereign authority whether or not they know it. Democrat and Socialist regimes always aim to eliminate Christianity for this reason.
