As many times as we’ve written about this circus in South Florida that calls itself a church for its lavish displays of secular paganism, nothing should surprise us anymore. But the fact that this entertainment venue continues to associate with the Southern Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention continues to fellowship with them, it’s worth pointing out that they are continuing to decline into absolute apostasy.

Church by the Glades in Coral Springs, FL, made headlines in early 2020 after its pastor, David Hughes, was selected by another Florida pastor, David Uth, to speak at the 2020 Southern Baptist Convention’s annual meeting. Church by the Glades has been well known for its sensuality, worldly appeal, and extravagant performances of secular dance and music including the Stormtrooper Dance, Disney Medleys, and covers of Beyonce’s Freedom. And recently, the church performed a live cover of foul-mouthed rapper, Kendrick Lamar’s N95 which contains, in the original version, dozens of swear words, blasphemies, and references objectifying women.

In its latest display of secular hedonism, Church by the Glades put on one of the most man-centered godless, Christless displays of total carnality with its Willy Wonka-themed Sunday morning worship service. Needless to say, the service and the songs didn’t include Christ, but rather, a flying Santa Claus—the real object of pagan Christmas worship—and several secular songs by secular artists.

The show began with the Willy Wonka Pure Imagination theme song and then transitioned into Aaron Carter’s song, I Want Candy. The church then showed several Christmas-themed movie clips from movies like Home Alone, A Christmas Story, Frosty the Snowman, and more. And then the entertainment team jumped into a cover performance of Candyman, which featured the lyrics “Sippin’ from a bottle of vodka double wine.”

As you can see, this worship service was all about celebrating the birth of Christ. Here are a few clips we captured from the performance:
