The Southern Baptist Convention is woke. And because of that, Southern Baptist seminaries are even woker. Sadly, our seminaries are the ones producing our next generation of pastors, missionaries, and teachers — and the garbage they are being fed continues to grow in absurdity at alarming rates.

Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS) has made a name for itself as the leading Southern Baptist seminary for social justice. With names like Walter Strickland, professor and head of the seminary’s “kingdom diversity” program, who teach James Cone’s liberation theology and suggest that many white people only adopt black children because they have a “savior complex,” it comes as surprise that twisting the Scripture to further their political cause would be close behind.

Another seminary professor, Miguel Echevarria, who is also a contributor for The Gospel Coalition (TGC) and the Southern Baptist Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) twists the biblical accounts of Joseph and Daniel — who were sold into slavery — and calls them immigrants who “blessed” the people.

Of course, Echevarria is either incapable of sound exegesis or is being completely dishonest here — either of which should disqualify him from his post at a Southern Baptist seminary. Anyone who actually reads the biblical accounts of Joseph and Daniel knows that these men were not immigrants but sold into slavery.

To summarize,

  • Joseph and Daniel did not leave their own country on their own volition to “seek a better life.”
  • Joseph and Daniel did not enter another country illegally.
  • Joseph and Daniel had no interest in tearing down national sovereignty and replacing it with a new world order.
  • Joseph and Daniel’s efforts were not funded by globalist billionaires seeking to undermine Western civilization.

Of course, the globalists already know this and in fact, the globalists want slavery. In the name of “Christian charity” and “gospel issues,” Evangelical leftist organizations such as TGC and the ERLC have been seeking to undermine conservative policies and national sovereignty for years. Knowing that mass unlimited immigration does nothing but create a society that is dependent on government which essentially makes us all slaves, they continue to promote this godless form of lawlessness. It serves no purpose but to further the globalist’s agenda.

This same professor endorsed another liberal professor who said that future English translations of the Bible would be better translated if they had more black translators. In classical Critical Race Theory manner, they’ve embraced the concept of racialism suggesting that white people read their own white supremacy into the text. Of course, it’s absurd, but it’s what they do — it’s meant to be absurd.

Southern Baptists need to know that this is what they are funding.
