But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one.
1 Corinthians 5:11
Beth Moore has been on a roll lately — one that has repeatedly shown her disdain for Scripture and obedience to God. Whether it be her clear and open feminism or her refusal to directly denounce homosexuality as sinful, the self-proclaimed Bible teacher is a theological trainwreck with friends in just about every wrong place imaginable.
Moore has been under fire recently for her fellowship with homosexuals and gay activists. A friend of homosexuals like Jonathan Merritt (son of former SBC president, James Merritt) and gay rights activists ranging from Jen Hatmaker to Rachel Held Evans, Beth Moore defends her associations with these sexually immoral people, despite Scripture’s clear commands not to.
If you don’t think that the Southern Baptist Convention turned completely liberal, one need only look at the most influential leader in the denomination, Russell Moore, who has nothing but glowing accolades for Beth Moore, and says that “an SBC that doesn’t have a place for Beth Moore doesn’t have a place for a lot of us,” and that without Beth Moore, he wouldn’t be in ministry today.
Sadly, many Southern Baptists are even pushing for Beth Moore to run for SBC president in the future.
