In the wake of the recent ban on homosexuality and other forms of sexual deviancy in the United Methodist Church, many LGBTQ members of the denomination are up in arms. In an article at the Washington Post, a lesbian clergy in the denomination,  Hannah Adair Bonner
complained that homosexuals “begged” their “fellow Methodists to love them,” but they refused.

Throwing out terms like “bigoted,” “oppressed,” and “hateful,” these sexual deviants that are rampant in the apostate denomination — which, by the way, still supports abortion — fail to understand what true, biblical love is.

According to Jesus — which, let’s face it, is unequivocally right about everything — the second of the two greatest commandments is “you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Mark 12:31) So, what exactly is biblical love?

Allowing your neighbor to wallow in their sin is not love. The Bible is very clear — unrepentant homosexuals will NOT see the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). Would it be loving to allow, and to even endorse, your fellow neighbor to continue to rebel against God with no warning at all? Is it loving to keep silent when you see disaster about to strike?

Jesus called his disciples to go out into the world and make more disciples, to baptize them, and to teach them to follow all of His commandments. This is the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20). Yet, LGBT activists want Christians to keep silent or, better yet, endorse illicit unrepentant behaviors.

The fact is, the most hateful thing you can do is lie to somebody about their sin. The most hateful thing you can do is allow people to think that they are right with God, when, in fact, the wrath of God abides on them. Unrepentant homosexuals are not Christians, and the most loving thing you can do is to call them to repent and believe the gospel.
