That’s what she is … a serpent. And what she said is exactly what you would expect from a woman cosplaying as one of Satan’s pastors.
The oldest sin recorded in the Scriptures is questioning God. In Genesis 3:1, the serpent presents the question to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?”
The first lie was to present God as untrustworthy, to cause others to question and doubt.
And here, Katie Gilbert, a Methodist “pastor,” presents that same lie to her congregation, feeding them doubt that God’s word is trustworthy and instead, tells them the Scriptures should be treated like Aesop’s Fables.

The entire point is the destruction of confidence in God’s word. And if confidence in God’s word can be undermined, then every moral and ethical command in Scripture becomes negotiable.
Makes sense, since the Methodist “Church” has embraced literally every form of sick and twisted sexual perversion and presents it as “love.”
Makes sense, since the Methodist “Church” promotes the senseless and heinous crime of murdering innocent children in the womb.
If God’s law is just a collection of “fables,” there is no need to take them seriously.
The serpent’s question has existed all throughout history. Every generation has its own form of the question—but it always lands in the same place. God’s word is dismissed. Human reasoning is exalted. And rebellion against God is dressed up in religious garb and presented as “good.”
And yes, this serpent really did say that.
