John Gray – Relentless Church, SC

Just two weeks ago, South Carolina pastor John Gray received a lot of praise for telling his congregants to take what they need from the offering basket is now taking heat for gifting his wife a $200,000 Lamborghini.

John Gray, a former associate of the multi-millionaire All-American prosperity preacher, Joel Osteen, told his congregants, “There’s some money in these baskets,” he told the people who came up. “For you and the kids to eat. And get some gas.”

For too long people have stood in a pulpit and told you to give, give, give. Very rarely have I seen churches stop and said ‘leave the baskets out, let the people get what they need.’ We’ve got too many pulpit pimps who want to get fat off people but don’t want to meet the needs of the poor people. And Jesus said that’s who you supposed to be taking care of. We got widows, we got orphans, we’ve got single moms in here. We might not be able to do everything but we can do something. I wish we could do more but it’s the best we can do right now.”

Gray stated that he would rely on a “leap of faith rather than a large savings account.”

Apparently his “leap of faith” came through for him. At least it seems. Yesterday, a video appeared on his Instagram account of him surprising his wife with a Lamborghini Urus, which prices start at $200,000 according to fortune.com.

Propsperity pimps gonna pimp!
