Lauren Daigle, a Contemporary Christian Music artist has been under fire for several months for her perceived compromise on homosexuality. It began with her appearance on the lesbian, Ellen DeGeneres’ show to perform her song, “Still Rolling Stones.”

Since then, she has expressed that she isn’t sure if homosexuality is sinful and that people need to “read the Bible and find out for yourself. And when you find out, let me know because I’m learning too.”

Amid the controversy in her celebrity life, she’s now facing the reality of the consequences of her influence. As with all celebrity CCM artists, she shrugs off her “Christian” identity for a more popular one, a secular one.

She was recently interviewed on 104.3 MYFM where she was asked if she considered herself to be a “Christian artist.”
