For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; ²and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

Since homosexuality was legalized in China in 2001, the increase of sexually transmitted diseases has seen an exponential increase. Blued, a gay dating app based in China that has over 40 million users has been halted due to a rapid increase of AIDS among its users.

Caixin, a Beijing-based financial magazine, reported on Sunday that many underage Chinese people were using the dating app by falsely claiming to be over 18. 

Zhang said that a number of underage interviewees told him they had contracted HIV from people they met through Blued. Zhang has not published his research but shared his findings with Caixin.

Hu Wei (not his real name), the leader of a major LGBT community welfare organization who asked not to be identified by his real name, said that in the past two years almost all the new cases of HIV infection found by his organization involved people who had met sexual partners through Blued, including one 16-year-old boy. Hu also told Caixin he had encountered in his work children as young as 12 who said they were using Blued.
