If Hillsong isn’t involved in a scandal, it isn’t Hillsong. We’ve covered the vast majority of Hillsong’s scandals, including its multiple sex scandals, Hillsong’s theft scandals, and, of course, its v through its worldwide music and performance ministries.

While most of Hillsong’s scandals involve its pastors–from Carl Lentz at NYC to its Australia-based CEO, Brian Houston–many have also involved its members.

One of Hillsong’s most notable members–and it has many–is Justin Bieber. We’ve covered Bieber before, and while Bieber has pretty much abandoned Hillsong in the wake of his pastor, Carl Lentz’ apostasy, his ties to the church and legacy association with it will outlast the church itself.

Back in 2017, we covered Bieber who was caught out in a bar in New Zealand with his pastor, Carl Lentz, drinking and removing their clothing. Classy, right? Especially for a world-famous pastor and his world-famous protegé. Of course, Justin Bieber wouldn’t be Justin Bieber if he weren’t caught in some kind of mischief. But what was sad is that his pastor–who should have been leading him to Christ–instead led him to the bottle.

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. –1 Peter 5:8

Yeah, that worked out well didn’t it? In fact, it worked out so well that Bieber, who now sits under the pastoral care of Judah Smith–also a Hillsong protegé–has taken up manufacturing and selling weed. According to a post at CNN,

The singer has entered into a partnership with the company Palms to sell a limited edition line of cannabis.

“This limited edition line of single strain, indoor flower pre-rolls is rolling out in CA, NV, MA & FL,” according to a post on the company’s Instagram account. “Our goal is to make cannabis more approachable and help destigmatize its use.”

“I got my peaches out in Georgia/I get my weed from California,” Bieber sings in “Peaches.”

Now that’s dope! Literally. Who would have ever guessed that such a corrupt and noxious carnal organization would produce such rotten fruit?
