Yesterday we reported that LifeWay plans to begin closing stores in favor a larger digital presence. Due to “accelerated rate of erosion,” Thom Rainer, President of LifeWay announced that contrary to his hopes LifeWay’s business model was unsustainable.
LifeWay is the media branch of the Southern Baptist Convention and many Southern Baptist churches use it’s materials for teaching and preaching. However, LifeWay has been criticized for years for their incessant peddling of heretics and false teachers.
In the midst of their transition to a digital presence, it is obvious they have no plans to clean out the closet when it comes to aberrant teachers. Beth Moore is a well-known false teacher who promotes unbiblical ideas and claims direct, divine revelation from God, which, for the most part, turns out to be fanciful tales that are contrary to the Word of God.
LifeWay recently published this video on their Facebook page featuring Beth Moore. For nearly five minutes, Moore gives a bizarre retelling of a story of spilling coffee in her lap simply to say that we “are like coffee cup handles.”

It’s one of the stupidest things I’ve ever heard from a so-called Bible teacher, but it’s highly telling of LifeWay’s position to continue to profit from doctrinally subversive stupidity and empty deceit. If you have five minutes of your life to waste, see the stupidity below.
