The Church of Sweden, which is the largest Protestant denomination in the country and the largest Lutheran denomination in Europe which boasts over 5.8 million members, announced this week that it is now a “trans” church.

In an open letter to the transgender population of Europe, the church wrote on its website:

We are writing to you from a church that is also trans. A church is made up of people. People are different. We have confirmands, employees, churchwardens, elected representatives, non-profits and other parishioners who define themselves as transgender people. The church thus also consists of transgender people. Therefore, the church could be described as trans.

The Church of Sweden was the official state church up until 2000 where all newborn children were officially made members of the church unless the parents canceled the membership. Like other apostate Protestant denomination, particularly, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Church of Sweden has abandoned the Scriptures, the gospel, and God altogether in favor of an all-inclusive theology of rebellion.

The letter continues:

We see that trans-excluding feminism uses a rhetoric that we recognize from radical right-wing Christian groups and right-wing populists. You are affected by words and actions that draw their nourishment from some of humanity’s darkest sides. We mourn a downward rights movement. You, I, we, all need a broad solidarity feminism that fights narrow gender norms.

Sadly, Europe has very little true Church left to proclaim the good news to those who are lost and dying. And worse, the dark shadow that is now looming over Europe is already over America. True churches in America are being persecuted at an increasingly alarming rate and a biblical worldview is no longer acceptable or even tolerated.
