In the midst of a rising tide of social justice, normalization of sexual abnormality, and feminism within Evangelicalism and especially the Southern Baptist Convention, Russell Moore famously said in 2019 that “an SBC that doesn’t have a place for Beth Moore doesn’t have a place for a lot of us.” Today, that statement came to fruition as Russell Moore has announced his retirement from the ERLC to join the rank apostate magazine of Billy Graham, Christianity Today.

Christianity Today, which is now manned and ran by stooges like Ed Stetzer, another former Southern Baptist who left after years of criticism for peddling heresy at LifeWay for cash, may possibly be the only institution in all of Evangelicalism that Moore can’t swing further to the left. But if there’s a way, he will find it.

“We could not be more pleased with the addition of Russell Moore in this role,” said Christianity Today’s president and CEO, Timothy Dalrymple. “Russell has established himself as one of the most significant evangelical voices of our time.

Of course, Russell Moore’s significant voice has landed him in hot water over the year on multiple occasions with conservatives in the Southern Baptist Convention. Whether it be Moore’s breaking bread with the gay community, his softening tone on homosexualityreferring to Jesus as an “illegal alien,” promotion and teaching of inherent “white guilt” by sole virtue of skin color, yoking with Democrat and socialist groups, serving as an editor for a Catholic magazinecoddling the transgender communitypartnering with animal rights groups and referring to animal rights as a “gospel issue,” fighting for the right to build an Islamic mosque, accepting donations from billionaire leftists like George Soros to advance open-borders and amnesty, publishing articles claiming that the Bible affirms gender fluidity, or making the absolutely asinine claim that Western culture is demonic, one thing is for certain, Russell Moore did not represent his base as a voice in the denomination.

In fact, it is quite clear that Russell Moore will be far more at home with his ilk at Christianity Today–essentially a breeding ground for apostasy. Christianity Today’s former editor, Mark Galli, renounced his faith altogether to join the Roman Catholic cult shortly after penning a scathing hit piece against conservatives who support Donald Trump and referring to God as the “divine drama queen.”

We wish Russell Moore the best–no, actually we don’t. We hope he fails miserably in his agenda. He has done nothing but cause division and lead countless people away from the gospel to embrace the false gospel of social justice. In fact, we hope and pray that Russell Moore repents and gets saved or that God exposes him for what he is and deals with him accordingly. Either way, the world and the church would be a better place.

And, most certainly, the Southern Baptist Convention will be a better place without Moore.
