Interfaith unity seems to be all the rage these days — but historically speaking, it always has been. There has never been true unity between God’s people and the rest of the world. But the world, itself, despite the vast diversity of religious beliefs, have always been unified around one thing — their rejection of the Biblical Jesus.

This includes Jews, Muslims, Eastern religions, and false churches such as the Roman Catholic Church. It also includes false Evangelical churches — like the cult of Hillsong — that have turned Jesus primarily into a social justice activist who seeks spiritual unity with Pagans to effect societal change.

And this is right where Hillsong Church is. Christine Caine, one of Hillsong Australia’s “pastors,” is teaming up with Jews, Muslims, and even Joe Biden to call for spiritual unity and “societal change” in the public square.

In a roundtable discussion on Thursday, which is open to the public, Caine will join Islamist, Dalia Mogahed and Jewish professor, Amy-Jill Levine and will be, according to the registration website, “discussing the topic of religion in public square, the importance of multi-faith relationships, mending the divide in our nation, repudiating sex trafficking, and more.”

The call will also feature Josh Dickson, the National Faith Engagement Director for the Biden Administration Transition Team, who will “deliver greetings from the Biden team and briefly discuss how we can unite to build civility in order to address societal challenges.”

Of course, this leaves Bible-believing Christians with a list of questions:

  • What partnership has righteousness with lawlessness?
  • What fellowship has light with darkness?
  • What accord has Christ with Belial?
  • What portion does a believer share with an unbeliever?
  • What agreement has the temple of God with idols?

when we are commanded by Scripture to not be “unequally yoked with unbelievers.” (2 Corinthians 6:14-16)
