Well, I would say that I knew there were crazy people out there who actually look at politicians as their saviors—both politically and spiritually. But the mainstream accusation against Christians from the left is that because we vote conservative, we’re “Trump worshipers.”

Of course, that accusation is absurd, and even attempting to defend against it is like trying to lure a frog out of boiling water with food. They’re fine where they are and are unable to see their own delusion.

Yet, there actually are real, literal people out there who bow their heads in awe and worship to…Donald Trump. That’s right. This guy, a heretic named Helgard Muller, wrote a book that names Donald Trump “the son of man, the Christ.”

The book is real. Even far-left “fact-checking” websites like Snopes have confirmed that this guy, Muller, has named Trump the Messiah. From Snopes, the claim rating is “true,” and states:

Author Helgard Müller said that he believes there are two Christs, with Jesus being the son of God who was betrayed by Judas, and Trump being the son of man who was “betrayed by [former U.S. Vice President Mike] Pence.” He also claimed that his book, “President Donald J. Trump, The Son of Man – The Christ,” was not satire.

Not that we should hang our heads on Snopes, but we at The Dissenter have also verified that this is not satire and the book is available on Amazon. Part of the author’s description of his book on Amazon reads:

During the presidency of President Donald Trump, it became evident to me that the prophecies about the Son of Man, as predicted by Jesus in the Bible were, to a significant extent, fulfilled at the hands of Mr Trump. The Bible speaks about two different Christs-or Messiahs. Jesus, the Son of God is the one Christ, whereas the Son of Man is the other. Jesus always referred to the Son of Man in the third person. The greatest distinction or significance between the Son of Man and the Son of God (the Lamb) is their respective positions at the throne of God.

Not only is this rank heresy, idolatry, and the height of delusional thinking, it’s absolutely stupid and absurd and false and Jesus explicitly commanded us not to believe this guy.

Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. —Matthew 24:23

This heretic says Trump is the “Son of Man” but in John 3:13, it says that it is the Son of Man who descended into Heaven.

No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man. —John 3:13

And in Acts 1:11, two men, probably angels, confirmed that it was Jesus himself who ascended into Heaven.

And said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
