BREAKING: The United States Supreme Court has issued a ruling upholding a Texas law that bans most abortions after six weeks, currently the strictest in the nation. The lawsuit was filed by abortion providers in Texas who are arguing that the law is unconstitutional.

The law, S.B. 8, effectively bans most abortions because most women don’t even know they are pregnant until after the six-week mark when a heartbeat is detected.

While the Supreme Court’s ruling does not address whether or not the court believes the law to be unconstitutional, the ruling suggests that the court believes the law has a good chance to prevail as it makes its way through the lower courts.

While the ruling is a temporary victory for conservatives, it must be noted that the fight is not over until every single abortion in this nation is made illegal and stopped.
