In an unsurprising move, the Roman pope sends a donation to a group of transgender prostitutes living in the small town of Torvaianica, Italy who are out of work amid the coronavirus outbreak. The pope has been increasingly supportive of the sexually aberrant for a number of years even holding a Mass for gay Catholics and held a mass with a lesbian Anglican activist.
According to Religion News, about 20 “transgender women” — which means confused men who dress and act like women — have made the parish of the Blessed Virgin of the Immaculate their home.
“Many of the women are sex workers,” RNS reports, “and have been left with no income to pay rent or bills since Italy enacted a national quarantine in early March to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.”
Francis’ papal almoner Cardinal Konrad Krajewski wired the money to the transgender community last week. Andrea Conocchia, the parish priest who has been harboring the sex workers told RNS, “What was important to me was the open door of the parish church, and the possibility of welcoming, listening and accepting the person that I had truly and concretely in front of me.”

Of course, for a denomination that is already littered with sexual sin, it should come as no surprise that the pope would have no qualms about handing over Catholic money to a group of prostitutes who are out of work.
