In 2016, David Uth, pastor of First Baptist Church in Orlando, FL, invited all of the homosexuals in Orlando to take the stage in his church after a gay nightclub shooting in 2016. Uth,  allowed another pastor to refer to the “LGBTQ community” as the “head cornerstone,” — a title reserved for Christ Himself. Uth, in 2015 at the SBC annual meeting, affirmed an ex-Muslim’s “dream-conversion” story who said she converted to Christianity when Jesus came to her in a dream though she had never heard the gospel.

In February 2022, The Dissenter along with Capstone Report broke the story that the large Southern Baptist megachurch preached a sermon where they affirmed homosexuals, transgenders, and pro-abortion Democrats as active participants serving in their church. Danny DeArmas, the associate pastor at David Uth’s First Orlando actually took to the pulpit to brag about these things to which he garnered much applause from the audience.

However, while he was driving, Uth said, he had a conversation with God who asked him why he wanted to call Justin. Uth then said that he told God that he wanted to “bless” Justin. God then apparently responded to him and told him not to call Justin because Uth’s idea of blessing isn’t the same as God’s

Besides the fact that it is just absolutely ridiculous and absurd that he’s telling his congregation that he had this imaginary conversation with God and that God is telling him these things, the real reason Uth didn’t want to call Justin is that he is a coward and had no actual response to Justin’s criticisms. I know Justin Peters personally and I know that Justin would have been more than happy to speak to David Uth. However, Justin would also not be too cowardly to hold back and he would clearly explain to David from the Scriptures why he needed to repent and step down.

That’s the real reason David didn’t call Justin—he was afraid of the truth.
