I ran across a tweet this morning, and the reality struck me—I couldn’t argue against this fact. It read:
The sheer weight of that number is staggering. Nine thousand innocent lives snuffed out in the span of a few days, while the so-called “pro-life” movement claps politely at Republican politicians offering vague platitudes with no actual commitment.
But the bigger problem? The Trump administration, which has charged like a battering ram, and thankfully so, against DEI, illegal immigration, and the woke agenda, has so far left abortion largely untouched.
And that must change.

Trump’s return to power has been nothing short of explosive. From the moment he set foot back in the Oval Office, he has wielded executive authority like a weapon against the institutions of leftist rot. With the stroke of a pen, just like that, he obliterated DEI programs from federal agencies, declaring that these divisive policies have no place in a government meant to serve all Americans equally.
He slashed Biden-era ESG mandates, shutting down the financial and corporate blackmail that forces companies into leftist compliance. And he expeditiously banned transgender participation in women’s sports at the federal level and took a wrecking ball to Biden’s Title IX perversions.
The border? That’s getting locked down, too. Biden’s open-border catastrophe is being reversed at breakneck speed, with the administration deploying thousands of federal troops to assist Texas in securing what the federal government previously refused to defend.
Trump even authorized the criminal prosecution of local officials who refuse to comply with immigration enforcement, sending the clear message that sanctuary cities are a thing of the past.
It seems like the Trump administration isn’t playing games. He’s dropping the hammer on every single issue that conservatives have been demanding action on for years.
Except one.
Abortion.
This is where the disconnect is glaring. If Trump can mobilize the full force of federal power to wipe out DEI, crush illegal immigration, and obliterate the woke indoctrination machine, then why hasn’t he brought that same energy to ending abortion?
It’s not as if the stakes are unclear. While he’s eviscerating DEI offices, Planned Parenthood is still butchering babies. While he’s deporting illegal aliens, the abortion industry is operating largely unscathed, legally sanctioned to execute the most vulnerable among us.
The same urgency that exists in fighting the leftist cancer of wokeness must be applied here. What good is eliminating gender pronouns in government agencies if we’re still allowing innocent children to carried off to the slaughter house every single day? What’s the use of saving the country if we let the country’s future be carved apart in abortion mills?
The pro-life movement, for all its marches and fundraising, has largely allowed itself to be neutered. How many Republicans have stood on that March for Life stage, basked in applause, and then gone back to Washington to do precisely nothing?
JD Vance is just the latest example, offering empty words while making no real policy commitments. This is why the pro-life cause gets treated like a hobby, a side issue, instead of the moral emergency that it is.
And Trump, for all his strengths and despite his role in overturning Roe, hasn’t yet demonstrated that he’s willing to expend political capital to actually eradicate abortion with the same intensity he’s shown on other issues.
But he should. He must.
If he can sign an executive order stripping DEI from the military, then he can sign an order eliminating all federal funding to abortion providers at the very least. If he can take unprecedented measures to enforce immigration law, then he can take unprecedented measures to end the slaughter of the unborn and enforce the constitutional right to life, even on states that refuse to do so.
The left has used executive authority to impose its moral will on America for decades—it’s time the right learned to wield that same power in defense of the innocent.
The same Trump who obliterated Roe with three Supreme Court justices has the authority to go further. The same administration that is finally ending the federal obsession with wokeness must turn its sights on the most egregious human rights violation of all—abortion.
Not just symbolic actions, not just lip service, but full-scale, scorched-earth policy designed to dismantle the abortion industry once and for all.
If this administration is truly serious about protecting American values, then it must recognize the most fundamental of all values—the right to life. Trump must go to war against abortion just as aggressively as he has against the woke agenda. Because every day he delays, thousands more innocent lives are lost.
And we can’t let him forget it.
