In the pantheon of modern prosperity preachers, few people are as brazen or as voraciously money-hungry as Jesse Duplantis. Broadcasting from Destrehan, Louisiana, where he founded Jesse Duplantis Ministries, this charlatan of the highest order has spent over half a century peddling a gospel so distorted that it would be unrecognizable to the original apostles. This spiritual crack dealer, Duplantis, has built an empire on the backs of his followers, promising divine returns on investments that only seem to enrich one personโ€”himself.

Duplantis, an adept showman, promises his followers great opulence in this life by, well, giving him money, equating heavenly rewards with earthly wealth. He has even claimed that by giving him money, it will speed up the return of Christ:

In another gross perversion of grace, he told his congregation that if youโ€™re one of those people who donโ€™t want gold-paved roads, financial blessings, and all kinds of material wealth, then youโ€™re not going to want to be in Heaven. He then said that if you make it to Heaven and see all of this material wealth and donโ€™t believe it, then Jesus is going to tell you to go to Hell where they have gravel instead:

Duplantis further distorts scripture to serve his narrative. He twists Proverbs 19:17โ€”turning a call to charity into a self-serving investment strategyโ€”and regularly twists the parable of the sower to suggest that seed-faith giving should enrich the fertile soil of his own bank account rather than support the poor and needy.

In what may be his most blasphemous act yet, Duplantis during a Christmas sermon, dared to read himself into Isaiah 9:6, proclaiming himself akin to the โ€œWonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.โ€

Such a bold assertion does not merely edge towards heresyโ€”Duplantis dives headlong into its darkest depths, presenting himself not as a humble servant of God but as a demon vying for a throne that is not his to claim.

Jesse Duplantis is a wolf in sheepโ€™s clothing, a charlatan of the highest order, whose teachings are a perversion of grace and a testament to unabated greed. His ministry, marked by a blatant lust for money and power, stands diametrically opposed to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Duplantisโ€™s prosperity gospel not only misleads his flock but also maligns the very core of Christian doctrine, replacing the worship of the risen savior with the worship of Mammon.

In confronting such aberrant teachings, it falls to true believers to stand firm in their faith, to challenge and refute such distortions, and to uphold the integrity of the gospelโ€”a message of salvation, not a scheme for earthly enrichment. Jesse Duplantis, a self-serving profiteer masquerading as a man of faith, must be recognized for what he is: not a guide to spiritual riches, but a peddler of spiritual bankruptcy.
