Charles Spurgeon, known as the Prince of Preachers, once predicted a time when the church would move from shepherds feeding sheep to clowns entertaining goats. Observing our times, it seems we’ve not just fulfilled this prediction, but surpassed it—now, it’s as if even camels are entertaining the goats.

Camels? Yes, Camels. Last year, it was Santa flying across the auditorium ceiling in a sleigh, and this year, at Prestonwood Baptist Church, they’re marching live, full-size camels through the auditorium. These churches that put on these extravagant performances are nothing but goat farms. These so-called “houses of worship” have exchanged sound, biblical teaching and preaching of the unadulterated Word of God for something that attracts more people.

For starters, these churches are incredibly pragmatic. They see an opportunity to put on a flashy show and draw a crowd, and they take it, without any regard for the consequences. They put on plays, musicals, and even circus acts, all in the name of “reaching people for Christ.” But let’s be real—these performances are not about spreading the Gospel. They’re about putting butts in seats and lining the church’s pockets.

Parents Handing Their Children Over to Drag Queens is Despicable

These ... clowns. Literal clowns. Some dude, draped in cheap polyester sequins and a wig that reeks of desperation, sits there. He’s playing pretend with kids. He’s wearing a caricature of womanhood like a skin suit, and he’s doing it in front of a child.“Do I look...
