In the recent turbulence of the Dodgers’ decision to allow a highly controversial LGBTQ group, the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, to perform at their annual “Pride Night,” a resounding voice of conviction and courage emerged. This voice belonged to Dodgers’ own Blake Treinen, who, in the face of rampant blasphemy and moral decline, stood tall and asserted his faith in the strongest terms.

Here is Treinen’s full statement:

The strength and courage displayed by Treinen’s bold stance even against his own employer are commendable. “Inviting the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to perform disenfranchises a large community and promotes hate of Christians and people of faith,” Treinen wrote. As the world around him capitulates to the idol of political correctness, Treinen refuses to bow. His words ring with the passion of one who has taken up the cross of Christ, declaring with utmost clarity: “My convictions in Jesus Christ will always come first.”

His public and bold opposition to this perversion is a clarion call to all believers, a reminder that our faith is not a cloak to be worn when convenient but a lifelong commitment, an unwavering allegiance to Christ. Treinen’s assertion that “Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins” and his quoting of Galatians 6:7, “do not be deceived, God cannot be mocked; a man reaps what he sows,” are powerful reflections of a heart that is firmly rooted in Biblical truth.

Contrastingly, the Dodgers’ decision is a clear endorsement of a group that openly mocks and disrespects the Christian faith, a stance that only contributes to the growing culture of hostility towards people of faith. The gravity of their decision does not end at a singular event; it signifies a larger, troubling trend. A trend where standing for faith is overlooked, and promoting an agenda that openly derides religious beliefs is celebrated.
