The United Methodist Church, which is in fellowship with the Methodist Church in Britain which is the Methodist tradition upon which all Methodist denominations in the world are founded, is a mirror image of the Methodist Church in America as far as its complete apostasy and abandonment of Biblical truth. The Methodist Church has completely embraced homosexuality and the LGBTQ movement, feminism, and other leftist causes at the expense of the gospel.

Unsurprisingly, when a rare conservative Methodist clergy raises his head and dares to speak the truth and defend the gospel, he is immediately shut down and threatened.

According to legal representatives, a Methodist Bible college located in the United Kingdom terminated the employment of a Christian theologian, Dr. Aaron Edwards, and issued a threat to report him as a terrorist owing to his tweets opposing homosexuality.

The college, Cliff College in Derbyshire, England, accused Edwards of harming the reputation of the institution through his social media activities, leading to his dismissal from his teaching position last month.

Edwards’ tweet dated Feb. 19, which stated, “Homosexuality is invading the church. Evangelicals no longer see the severity of this [because] they’re busy apologizing for their apparently barbaric homophobia, whether or not it’s true,” was widely circulated and stirred up a significant backlash.

Edwards defended his stance and tweeted, “This is a ‘Gospel issue,’ by the way. If sin is no longer sin, we no longer need a Savior. That is the conservative view. The acceptance of homosexuality as ‘not sinful’ is an invasion upon the Church, doctrinally. This is not controversial. The acceptance is controversial. Most of the global Church would agree. It is not homophobic to declare homosexuality sinful.”

He further clarified that his tweet was not an attack on individuals but rather a doctrinal issue aimed at evangelicals. Edwards stated, “I expressed the conservative view as a doctrinal issue, re. the implications for sin/the Gospel. It was not an attack on individuals; it was addressed to evangelicals. It seems that holding the view that homosexuality is sinful is only welcome if it remains ‘unexpressed.'”
