I often write about churches that put on blasphemous performances, are irreverent, and in many ways, blaspheme the name of God with their overt self-promoting performances. And I also often write about churches that put homosexuals, queers, and transgender people in the pulpit to preach a false gospel of tolerance and celebration sexual immorality. However, it is rare that I come across a church that actively worships to songs that praise relationships between men who are engaging in homosexual behavior.
Yet, one church is doing just that. In the video below, the church is worshiping to a song by former queer American Idol performer, Noah Davis, called “Holy Water.” The song sports lyrics about men loving men and how queers don’t need prayer because they were born that way and they aren’t going to change.
Here are some of the lyrics from the song:
I’ve been this way since I was eight
I cried right through my pillowcase
Prayin’, “Lord, please take this from me”
I’ve walked through hell and back again
‘Cause I’m a man who loves a man
No, you don’t need to pray for me
No, I don’t need your
Holy water
I don’t need your sympathy, sympathy, your
Holy water
Just ’cause you think differently, differently, yeah
I’m not broken, save your breath
I won’t change, no, even if you drown me in
Your holy water
