Reformation Charlotte has repeatedly reported on the false teachings and ill workings of Bethel Church in Redding, California. It is par for the course for the leadership of this false church to make false claims about God and lead people into a false sense of security with their twisted prosperity gospel and false manifestations of the Holy Spirit.

Bethel, which is pastored by Bill Johnson—who, incidentally teaches a false gospel of physical healing as his wife is sadly dying of cancer—has practiced such nonsense as “tunnels of youth” that you can pass through to reverse your age, while one of its lead “apostles” claims to have restored the virginity of thousands of girls.

Bethel Church is essentially a cult that revolves around the “visions” of its “apostles,” Bill Johnson and Kris Vallotton.

Now, they are passing this heresy on to young children, exploiting them to advance their false gospel, and affirming them in unbiblical false theology of baptism, causing them to sin.

“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.” —Mark 9:42

This past week, Bethel baptized several children, two of whom gave a testimony that contradicts the Scriptures. One of the children, when asked why he is being baptized, said that he’s doing it because he “loves Jesus” and that Jesus told him to get baptized before he was 12. The second kid in the video answered that he believes if he gets baptized, he will “have eternal love.”

Of course, both of these answers are false; but we don’t blame the children for their false beliefs here. Instead, we blame these false shepherds who have led these children into apostasy by teaching them rank heresy.
