35 Percent of Americans Support Grooming Children in Public Schools

If you’ve been paying attention to the news, you’re probably aware of the controversial bill in Florida banning child grooming in public schools. Of course, the left frames it as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, but this, to put it in mild terms, is simply absurd.

The Florida Bill HB 1557 simply gives parents greater control over their children’s education and mandates that school officials contact parents immediately if there is any change in the mental, social, or emotional state of a child enrolled in the school.

While schools around that nation have adopted policies that force parents out of the decision-making process of a child’s emotional state—which includes their sexuality—Florida’s bill would make this illegal. Some schools have gone as far as adopting “preferred pronouns” for children in the classroom for those who are sexually confused and have done so without the parents’ knowledge. Other schools have even made accommodations for children to change clothes in schools upon arrival allowing them to wear clothes approved by parents to school then change into clothing to match their “gender identity” while at school, then change back upon dismissal, eliminating all knowledge of this from parents.

Further, schools, including elementary schools, around the nation are indoctrinating children as young as Kindergarten with LGBTQ and transgender ideologies, normalizing aberrant sexual behaviors, and hiding all of this from parents.

Despite this, a recent poll shows that 35 percent of Americans support the indoctrination of sexual ideologies, aka child-grooming, in public schools. While 51 percent opposed it, the numbers should be alarming. Ten years ago, almost nobody would have publicly supported the teaching and promoting of LGBTQ ideologies to Kindergarteners.

Politico reports:

A slim majority of U.S. voters who were polled — 51 percent — support “banning the teaching of sexual orientation and gender identity from kindergarten through third grade” while 35 percent are opposed, according to the poll results.

The poll also found that 52 percent support limiting lessons on sexual orientation and gender identity after third grade to “age appropriate” discussions.

The GOP-backed measure has garnered national attention and condemnation from LGBTQ supporters, including President Joe Biden, with opponents saying it could further marginalize some students and lead to bullying and even suicide.

In both instances, support was considerably higher among Republican registered voters, but there was also backing from independent voters. Seventy percent of GOP voters, for example, supported banning the teaching of sexual orientation and gender identity in lower grades compared to 51 percent of Democrats who opposed the legislation. The poll found that 46 percent of independent voters supported the ban compared to 35 percent who opposed it.
