Greg Locke, a right-wing political pundit who focuses the vast majority of his time in the pulpit on American politics, is well known for his controversial takes on both religion and politics. After a controversial divorce and remarriage several years ago, Locke alienated a large number of conservative biblically-minded Christians and staff in his church. Since then, Locked has unleashed himself and his strange rhetoric continues to grow.

Last month, Reformation Charlotte reported that Greg Locke, pastor of Global Vision Church, accused autistic children of being “demon-possessed.” Now, in a new encounter with Locke’s irrational demonology, he dives into the forbidden to communicate with demons to supposedly identify “witches” in his congregation.

“To God be the glory, I lie not,” Locke told his congregation last Sunday, “We got first and last names of six witches that are in our church. And you know what’s strange, three of you are in this room right now.”

Locke said that two of these witches were in his wife’s Bible study class which he found out from a demon while casting them out of another church member.

“You so much as cough wrong and I’ll expose in front of everybody under this tent, you stinking spell-casting, pharmakeia devil worshipping and mongrel,” Locke said. “You were sent to destroy this church,” he continued.

Pharmakeia is a Greek word used in Scripture that, in this context, is used to denote “sorcery, magical arts, often found in connection with idolatry and fostered by it,” according to Strong’s.
