The Magnificat, also known as the Song of Mary which is found in Luke 1:46-55 and is prominently repeated in liturgical traditions such as the Roman Catholic Church, Eastern Orthodox, and Anglican churches, has apparently been translated into a more contemporary language for all to understand.
Of course, that new contemporary language, which is read by Sal Sapienza of Douglas UCC, is nothing more than a woke rendition of gay affirmation and social justice.
Mary says, I can’t contain my excitement about all this. Out of all people, God noticed me, a poor pregnant teenager. Everyone will call me blessed from now on. God’s love is so much greater than I could even imagine. God shows love for everyone, even those who society despises. God shows love for the LGBTQ community, for immigrants, for refugees, the addicted, and shamed. God knows that Black Lives Matter, that refugees and immigrants are God’s beloved.
Of course, these people simply blaspheme God by altering his words.
