Francis Chan Now Says That He Speaks in Tongues

by | Mar 22, 2021 | Apostasy, heresy, News, The Church, Video | 0 comments

Francis Chan has been on a downward spiral for a long time. Chan is a graduate of both John MacArthur’s Master’s University and Seminary, an unusually solid seminary that teaches rightly on such important doctrines as the sovereignty of God, the inerrancy of Scripture, and the cessation of the apostolic sign gifts.

Chan was the founder and former pastor of Cornerstone Community Church in Simi Valley, California. Chan is now a well-known conference speaker, regularly preaching alongside questionable, at best charismatics such as Mike Bickle of IHOPKC and many others.

Chan, despite his solid theological educational background, is highly compromised. Not only is Chan’s doctrine on morality compromised–he says that homosexuality is not worse than divorce. But earlier this year in April, at an ecumenical gathering of charismatics and Catholics, Chan removed his shoes on stage while several Catholic priests pray over him. At the same event, Chan declines to share the gospel with a Catholic, stating “I don’t believe the Holy Sprit wants me to.”

Chan has also embraced the false “little god” heresy that teaches that being indwelt by the Holy Spirit makes us both God and man at the same time, like Jesus and he also has embraced the Roman Catholic heresy of transubstantiation which teaches that the bread and wine of communion is the literal flesh and blood of Jesus.

Apparently, Chan has embraced even more falsehood than we previously knew about. Recently, Chan said during an interview that in recent years, he’s found himself speaking in tongues.

Francis Chan has surrounded himself with the worst of the worst. Chan — who used to at one point hold to some semblance of orthodoxy — has fully embraced the false teachings of faux faith-healer, Todd White. Chan has already embraced the Roman Catholic heresy of transubstantiation in the Eucharist and some, including one Catholic priest, have speculated that Chan will soon depart the faith and join the Catholic harlot and now he has fully immersed himself in the prosperity gospel and believes himself to be a faith-healer.

All should heed this warning: this is why the Scriptures tell us not to associate with false teachers, rather we mark and avoid them like the plague. Don’t be deceived, folks, bad company ruins good morals (1 Corinthians 15:33). And, we’ve been warning folks for a long time that Francis Chan has turned away from sound teaching and accumulated for himself teachers to suit his own passions.
