Last week Reformation Charlotte reported that a California judge ruled that the governor’s shutdown orders applied to churches, but did not apply to strip clubs and that these dirty night clubs were allowed to remain open while churches must remain limited.

One pastor had the bright idea to temporarily turn his church into a Sunday morning “strip club” in order to skirt this absurd and objectionable ruling.

Pastor Rob McCoy of Godspeak Calvary Chapel attributed the idea to Mike Huckabee and decided that he would follow through with the suggestion. After playing a Fox News clip of Huckabee stating, “I don’t have a lot of experience with the strip clubs. I do have quite a bit of experience with churches…and I would think it’s ridiculous to say that people are safer in a strip club than they are at church,” McCoy proceeded with a clean version of a “strip tease” by removing his tie and dancing.

While silly and goofy — Reformation Charlotte is typically against this kind of behavior in church — we have to admit that the reasoning behind this was actually ingenious. While it will ultimately likely fail, it does expose the absurdity of our nation’s executive branches and just how far the court system has fallen into activism rather than upholding the Constitution.
