Venezuelan False Prophet “Decreed” That God Would Protect Maduro From America

There he is—Nicolas Maduro, dictator of Venezuela, head bowed, hands clasped like a schoolboy in a prayer circle—while David Owuor, decked out in pastel green, declares (translated by Google from Spanish):

“This nation will protect all the land of Venezuela, even as You showed me in a dream. You will cast out the enemy, the enemy will not come near. [Maduro] will always be glorified. I decree today, better history, victory, victory, victory, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.”

Victory, victory, victory.

Except… what really happened was capture. Indictment. Extradition.

So much for the prophecy.

If this were just some harmless emotionalism, we could write it off. But this? This is a false prophet standing in front of a brutal regime and declaring divine immunity like he’s handing out a heavenly passport stamp.

Maduro, whose regime is built on blood, repression, and ruin, gets anointed with oil while this clown proclaims that “the enemy will not come near.” Meanwhile, U.S. forces—presumably not tuned in to this broadcast—literally drop in and arrest the man weeks later, dragging him out of his palace and straight into federal custody.

So what now? Was the prophecy early? Did God change His mind? Or did heaven forget to CC the Pentagon?

This is what happens when charlatans exchange the gospel for geopolitics and think “anointing” is transferable like a backstage pass. It doesn’t matter if it’s this clown, or Hank Kunneman. It’s not just embarrassing—it’s blasphemous.

And this guy takes the holy name of Christ and slaps it on the chest of a tyrant. It takes the victory of the cross and tries to rebrand it as a diplomatic cover for a collapsing strongman.

If there’s a lesson here, it’s this. When your “prophecy” sounds like a press release written by the dictator himself, it’s probably not from God.

Because the God of Scripture doesn’t endorse evil. He doesn’t glorify men like Maduro. And He certainly doesn’t promise protection only to make Himself look like a fool days later.

No, the only fool here is the man who pretends his dreams are divine decrees—while angels, somewhere in heaven, facepalm quietly.

Did the Serpent Actually Say?

That’s what she is … a serpent. And what she said is exactly what you would expect from a woman cosplaying as one of Satan’s pastors. The oldest sin recorded in the Scriptures is questioning God. In Genesis 3:1, the serpent presents the question to the woman, “Did God...

Can We Get Over John Piper Already?

It seems that over the last several years, Evangelicalism has taken a sharp turn in leadership, leaving many empty chairs that were once filled with prominent voices. I think this turn started in 2017 when we lost R.C. Sproul. He was a voice the church looked to for...
