Ed Litton recently visited his alma mater, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he painted himself as the victim of envy and rivalry in the midst of his plagiarism scandal. Following his scandal, he has become entangled in a seemingly never-ending web of lies as he continues to excuse his behavior, deny any wrongdoing, and insist that those who are criticizing him are not worthy critics.

That was last week. This past Sunday, however, he continued his charade as he preached a sermon from Philippians 1:12-18. In this passage, Paul is writing from prison and speaking of how he takes joy in the fact that Christ is being preached despite the fact that some preachers are only doing so out of envy and rivalry while others are doing it out of good will.

Litton goes on to compare himself to Paul as he paints himself as one who is constantly being attacked by others and then insists that despite the constant attacks and mockery against him, he is only able to get through it all because of Jesus.
