Donald Trump Says Mean Things, So ERLC Fellow Says It’s Okay to Vote For Mass Murdering Democrats

For those of you who are too dim-witted to be able to see the difference between the Democrat and the Republican party, let me make it clear for you. The Republican party is most certainly not the savior of America, but the Democrat party is absolutely the trophy prize of Hell and Satan himself.

The Democratic party, at its core, is radically opposed to the standard of morality set forth in Scripture. Whether it be the continual expansion of the slaughtering of innocent children in the womb, the clamoring for the promotion of homosexuality and other forms of sexual perversions, including feminism, or the insistent push for redistributive theft, it goes without saying that everything the Democrat party stands for is biblically immoral. Jesus did not die for these things, he died because of these things — to free us from them.

And now, during the Democratic campaign, Democrats are openly and violently assaulting Christian churches and threatening all religious liberties afforded to them.

Christians are up in arms over Donald Trump because he says rude things. Fine, whatever. But if you can’t see the difference between why Trump’s abrasive comments don’t matter but the Democrat party’s platform matters, you need a lesson not only in biblical literacy but American politics.

It’s real simple, folks. Donald Trump isn’t trying to legislate his personal immorality into American policy — the Democrat party is. We’re not voting for men, we’re voting on policy. A vote for Donald Trump is not a vote for Trump’s abrasiveness, rude comments, or even sexual immorality. A vote for a Democrat is a vote for sexual immorality, abortion, and the whole laundry list of immoral things the Democrats want to put into legislation.

No, Christians, it is NOT okay to vote for a Democrat or to support the Democrat party in any way, shape, or form. I don’t care if you support Donald Trump or not — if it bothers your conscience to vote for him, then don’t. But that is clearly a matter of conscience. On the other hand, voting for and supporting any Democrat — one who will pretty much be guaranteed by any sane historical reasoning — to legislate along party lines is not a matter of conscience. It’s sin.

Yet, Thomas Kidd, a research fellow at the Southern Baptist Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission says he’s okay with it.

Thomas Kidd, a Baylor University professor and highly sought after speaker and author for The Gospel Coalition follows in the footsteps of SBC president, J.D. Greear who said he thought it was “great” if a Christian wanted to vote Democrat so long as they give lip service to pro-life causes.

One Twitter user responded,

The reasoning here is devoid of even a modicum biblical rationale. One cannot argue in any logical way that it’s ever acceptable for a Christian to support any candidate who is pro-choice, pro-LGBTQ, pro-feminist, anti-gun, anti-church, and anti-Christian. By the very virtue of being a Democrat, you proclaim these things. Even if on a personal level a Democrat disagrees with some of these issues, the likelihood of them opposing their party in legislative matters is slim to none.

Christians need to wake up. This isn’t a shill for Donald Trump, but it is a call for Christians to apply some reason, think logically, and stop listening to the ivory tower Evangelical intelligentsia sitting in their gold-trimmed offices wearing their expensive suits and living in their gated communities telling the rest of us that we need to welcome illegal immigrants, give up our guns, embrace feminism, and not worry about feeling guilty for supporting the godlessness that comes out of the Democrat party.

Good grief!
