Reformation Charlotte has continually reported on the onslaught of liberalism in the Evangelical Church, particularly the Southern Baptist Convention, which has traded out the gospel of grace for a false gospel of social justice.

Evangelicals, especially those associated with The Gospel Coalition, have been arguing for slave reparations — an unbiblical idea that pits an entire ethnic group against another. The idea is that white people today are all guilty of mass racism simply by the virtue of being what and all black people are oppressed by the simple virtue of being black — therefore, all white people owe indefinite restitution to all black people, regardless of any actual guilt or sin committed.

Of course, biblical Christians see such notions as not only anti-gospel and counter to the grace of Christ and opposed to the gospel, but detrimental to the black community as a whole. Larry Elder explains why.
