North Carolina’s state medical director, Betsey Tilson, is complaining that the state isn’t doing enough to reach sexually-confused people and complains that the state’s COVID-19 data only includes male and female breakdowns of the data.
Tilson told WTVD Raleigh that while the public facing dashboard only breaks down gender in terms of male or female COVID-19 cases, the state’s case investigation system does include transgender and gender non-conforming identities.
Tilson also asserts that the COVID-19 pandemic is “disproportionately impacting” the LGBTQ community including their “mental, physical and financial health” and blames it on “homophobia.”
Unsurprisingly, two of the other experts that echo Tilson’s sentiments are homosexual Assistant NC Health Secretary, Mark Benton and director of Duke’s “transgender health clinic,” Deanna Adkins, who agree that the “root cause of this problem comes from discrimination, stigma, isolation and homophobia, and the community’s medical distrust.”

According to the CDC, the sexually aberrant are nearly 1.5 times more likely to have asthma, cancer, COPD, kidney disease, and to be smokers. But, obviously, it has nothing at all to do with their own poor lifestyle choices, high-risk sexual decisions, the likelihood of unprotected sex with multiple sex partners in short time spans, and a general lack of self-control with their bodies.
Of course, we all know that white supremacy plays a supreme role in the problem as well as these “experts” agree that the problem is “even worse for queer people of color compared to others,” according to the WTVD report.
Tilson says that the solution to the problem is going to include federally funded free health clinics for gays, lesbians, queers, and transgender people since, of course, they are obviously turned away at the doors of normal health centers.
