According to a report at Protestia, Logos Bible Software, a platform revered for its extensive theological resources, and its sister company, Faithlife Corporation, has been implicated in a controversy for selling books with explicit content. This revelation has sparked significant concern among its user base, particularly because the software is extensively utilized by religious scholars, pastors, and laypeople for Bible study and sermon preparation.

The materials being propagated on the platform were described as containing explicit and graphic content, similar in nature to what is found in pornographic literature. These titles reportedly included detailed descriptions of perverse sexual acts, raising serious concerns for their availability on a platform widely used by religious communities for study by Christians, theologians, and even pastors for sermon preparation.

Further, according to Protestia, efforts by concerned users to engage Faithlife Corporation, the entity behind Logos, regarding the sale of such content have reportedly been ignored. This situation has led to calls within the community for the company to reassess its content offerings and adhere more closely to its stated distribution guidelines, which assert a commitment to not selling pornography.

After the report became public, Logos Bible Software publicly apologized agreeing that the materials in question had no place in the Christian community and stated that they were now actively working to remove them. However, this does still raise concerns about why allegedly several attempts to bring this to the company’s attention by concerned users previously resulted in no action.
