ERLC Head Says Even Though She is Pro-Abortion, We Should Appreciate Ketanji Brown Jackson Because She’s Black

In case you missed it, Ketanji Brown Jackson, Joe Biden’s controversial “diversity” pick for the nation’s highest court was just confirmed by the U.S. Senate with the support of only three Republicans.

Brown Jackson, who is best known for her staunch pro-abortion stances, her inability to distinguish between sexes, and for setting convicted pedophiles free, is now the nation’s first Black woman to hold the office of Supreme Court Justice. Let’s be clear; the only reason she was picked was because of her skin color and sex. Her record indicates that she will destroy the lives of millions of innocent children and rule with a far-left ideological bent without regard to the Constitution.

Despite this, ERLC head Brent Leatherwood says we should appreciate her because she’s Black.

In an article at Baptist Pravda (aka, Baptist Press), after acknowledging these existential threats to children, Christians, and conservatives, Leatherwood was quoted:

“Despite the philosophical and legal differences individuals like me will have with her, Judge Jackson’s confirmation is a history-making moment,” said Brent Leatherwood, acting president of the Southern Baptist Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission. “We should appreciate it as such. If we lose the ability to do that, we lose something that makes America an exceptional nation.”

So, according to Leatherwood, a delusional president with obvious dementia choosing a radical left-wing activist judge to serve in one of the nation’s highest and most powerful offices based on nothing other than the color of her skin should be celebrated because that’s what “makes America an exceptional nation.”

Dumb. Stupid. Foolish!

What made America a great nation wasn’t discriminatory acts that place unqualified leaders in positions to be confirmed by those who do not have the nation’s best interest at heart. What made America great in the past was leadership that actually cared about the nation and an informed public who cared about placing principled people in office and removing them if they weren’t. That is not the nation we live in any longer. We now live in a nation that serves only the radical left and its causes.

If Southern Baptists don’t dump the ERLC altogether soon, the denomination is going to follow the world’s pursuit into complete chaos and apostasy—if it hasn’t already. And it’s going to be because of unprincipled men like Brent Leatherwood.
