Jesus’ promise not to bring peace, but a sword, rang true this past weekend in a Tennessee church where a fight broke out between a member and the youth pastor during the Sunday morning sermon.

The fight happened at Olivet Baptist Church in Chattanooga as the church’s senior pastor, Bishop Kevin Adams, was preaching. According to Adams, the man in the white T-shirt had just gotten out of rehab and may have been having a relapse. He said that he is now going back to rehab and that the church is supporting him.

During the fight, you can hear the pastor yelling “stop it, Marcus,” assuming that the attacker’s name was Marcus. Adams says the man on the front row was the youth pastor. After a while, Adams says they were able to get the man calmed down where he began crying and apologized.

Adams stated that he assured the man that they would see him through and stand by him through rehab again.
