JD Greear, the former president of the Southern Baptist Convention and the lead pastor of the uber-woke Summit Church in Raleigh, NC, will require proof of vaccination at some of the church’s many campuses around the area prior to being granted the privilege of corporate worship.

Currently, in North Carolina, there is no state-wide vaccine or face mask mandate–despite the fact that North Carolina sports a radical far-left governor, Roy Cooper–who has in the past blamed the COVID-19 virus on Christians. Despite this, the leadership of Summit Church, which rents many of its facilities from other secular organizations, will forego their right to religious freedom.

Last year, a federal judge struck down a mandate by NC governor Roy Cooper which placed restrictions on NC church gatherings. Restrictions on church gatherings are illegal and unconstitutional and private businesses that choose not to lease to church groups because of these restrictions would be considered discriminatory.

Nonetheless, Greear has agreed to submit his congregation to these requirements. On the church’s website, it states “Masks are available at all campuses this weekend. Staff and indoor volunteers will wear masks and our members are encouraged to do the same. For campuses meeting in other facilities, we will follow that facility’s rules, as indicated below.”

Below, we found that facemasks and that either proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test will be required for corporate worship at the downtown Durham campus.

If JD Greear and Summit Church had an ounce of integrity, they would immediately disobey denounce this requirement and file a lawsuit against the facility for placing restrictions on worship. At the very least, the church should immediately find another facility to meet. But Greear, who is known for compromising the gospel, isn’t interested in biblical fidelity, he’s only interested in appeasing the world and baptizing the secular culture.
