Disgraced Christian Rapper Who Posted Nude Selfies on Social Media Now Performing at Concerts Again

Dante Bowe, a Christian rapper and member of the Christian music collective Maverick City Music, made headlines last year for his inappropriate behavior. As a result, he was released from the group due to “behavior that is inconsistent with our core values and beliefs.”

In response, Bowe released a public statement apologizing for the impact of his actions and acknowledging that he had offended many people on the platform they shared. He emphasized the importance of being mindful and intentional with his use of social media, stating: “This experience has been a very real reminder of the importance of being incredibly intentional with how I utilize and engage with the tools social platforms provide.”

Maverick City Music is a contemporary Christian music collective that features a diverse range of artists and has worked extensively with carnal-minded “Christian” rappers such as Lecrae, Kirk Franklin, and Bowe himself. It is not surprising that Maverick City Music and much of Contemporary Christian Music operate as an industry for making money and launching careers in the secular music field.

The Richmond County Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Foundation has invited Dante Bowe to participate in a Martin Luther King event in Rockingham, North Carolina this weekend, despite his history of inappropriate behavior. Bowe will be honored as the Grand Marshal for the annual Martin Luther King Jr. parade and will also be performing a concert at Rockingham Middle School.

It is really sad to see someone like Bowe, who claims to be a Christian, being celebrated after outing himself as nothing more than a self-promoting secular entertainer as he gets caught in these public scandals. It is as if he is trying to sweep his actions under the rug and pretend like nothing ever happened, because, of course he is.

Bethel’s Glitter Bomb Finally Went Off — And It Reeks

It’s a strange kind of grief—not the grief of surprise, but the grief of confirmation. The kind where you’ve been standing on the train tracks for years, waving both arms, shouting that the light in the distance isn’t the sunrise, it’s a locomotive—and then one day...

Are We Really Ready to Take On Obergefell?

I am seeing a lot of chatter recently about overturning Obergefell, and I get this strange, sinking feeling like we’re standing on a patch of mud yelling at the sky because the house is leaning. We point at the Supreme Court like that’s the engine of this whole thing....

Transvestite State Rep Calls on Activists to Storm More Churches

Last Sunday at Cities Church in St. Paul, a pack of Antifa activists barged into the sanctuary, interrupted worship, and chanted anti-ICE slogans while congregants sat confused or walked out. Their target was a pastor they accused of being a field ICE director. That’s...
