John MacArthur, pastor of Grace Community Church in Los Angeles, credits the work the church’s attorneys after fighting a year-long battle with the state over COVID lockdowns. MacArthur, who closed his church temporarily during the first few weeks of the lockdown, ultimately came to the conclusion that the lockdowns were not only unnecessary and illegal, but unbiblical, and has yet served as a model example of how a church should remain faithful in the face of state-sponsored persecution against Christians.

Over the last several months, MacArthur and Grace Community Church has faced utility shut-offs, cancellation of parking space lease, and even threats of jail time should the church remain open against the tyrannical governor, Gavin Newsom’s orders. In the face of all of this, MacArthur led his church through and remained open.

Sunday, for the first time in a year, all restrictions have been removed from religious gatherings in the State of California. MacArthur credits the move by the state to the relentless work of the attorneys working on behalf of the Church.

“How did that happen?” MacArthur says, explaining that once his attorneys threatened to depose the health officials in the state, forcing them to defend the necessity of the lockdowns, the government backed down. It’s obvious the government knows that the lock downs are unnecessary and are being used as nothing more than a way to control the population.
