A few weeks ago, Reformation Charlotte reported that Grace Semler Baldridge–who goes by the stage name, Semler–had topped Lauren Daigle for the number one spot on the Christian music charts in iTunes.
Now, Baldridge has been nominated by GLAAD for the 2020 Award for Outstanding Digital Journalism for her documentary series, State Of Grace and push against “gay conversion therapy.”
There has been a widespread movement in Evangelicism to become not only more tolerant but celebratory of sodomites. In February 2020, Charisma Magazine — which is popular for promoting the modern-day sons of Sceva — praised another openly gay worship leader who performed a rendition of Lauren Daigle’s You Say during an American Idol performance. And, in 2019, Charisma did the same thing praising another openly gay worship singer.
The professing Church in America is clearly dividing upon theological lines and while many may continue to profess “Lord Lord,” there will be little doubt about who truly stands with Christ in these days ahead.
