Nothing gives ammunition to the social justice progressive wing of Evangelicalism — who continually tirades against conservatives for throwing support behind Trump — more than the actions of right-wing Evangelical political hacks like Robert Jeffress. In fact, the Evangelical left thrives off of tying all conservatives to the idolatrous right-wing movement of people like Jeffress who, for all intents and purposes, spends more time deifying Trump than he does Jesus Christ — at least in public.

Of course, most conservatives view Jeffress as an anomaly and do not consider him to represent their position despite their own support for the current president. In fact, Repudiating the Right-Wing Idolatry of Trump and Believing Trump is a Good President are Not Mutually Exclusive. The vast majority of conservatives are in the latter camp.

Yet, Robert Jeffress, pastor of First Baptist Church, Dallas — a Southern Baptist megachurch — continually shills for the president and routinely replaces worship and biblical preaching with political propaganda. And this is exactly what he will be doing on Sunday morning, March 1 as he invites Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the former White House press secretary, to the stage for an interview during worship service.

Dr. Robert Jeffress will be interviewing former White House Press Secretary, Sarah Sanders live about her life in Washington D.C. as a career woman, wife, mother, and believer in Christ on Sunday, March 1 at 9:15 and 10:50am in the Worship Center.

Because nothing points to Christ like interviewing a political pundit while God’s Word should be exposited. (That was sarcasm, in case you didn’t grasp it.)

Keep in mind, this is the same Jeffress who promoted well-known prosperity gospel charlatan, Paula White’s book because it was politically expedient to do so.

Check Out the New “Jesus Mecha Christ” “Transformer” Toy

A transforming Christ-meets-mecha toy? Yes, the “Jesus Mecha Christ” transforming toy actually exists. It's like someone sat down and said, “How can I mock both God and basic decency in one fell swoop?” This isn’t art or satire—it’s an abomination born from the unholy...

Christmas Hymn Review: Away in a Manger

Christmas Song Review: Yes, Mary Did Know

Don’t Lose Sight of the Gospel in the Incarnation of Christ

Christmas is upon us again—the season of twinkling lights, cheerful songs, endless shopping, and, yes, Santa with his elves performing acrobatics on our bookshelves. The world, predictably, is consumed with the “season” itself, offering little more than cheap...
