NEWSMAX — After sparring on Twitter with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., over comments about her “Green New Deal,” calling her a “liar” and “dumb,” Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. invited the freshman lawmaker to share her political views at a “convocation” on campus.
“Although we disagree on most of our politics, I would love to offer you the invite to come present your ideas at Liberty Convocation,” Falwell tweeted late Tuesday. “Unlike most schools, we welcome free speech and hearing from those who differ from our political views.”
Falwell, one of Trump’s more ardent backers, called Rep. Ocasio-Cortez “dumb” and a “liar” after she tweeted a video of Falwell speaking about concealed carry permits and Muslims.
“‘I always thought that if more good people had concealed carry permits, then we could end these Muslims before they [unintelligible],'” Ocasio-Cortez wrote alongside the retweeted video. “This was just this weekend at CPAC, the conference attended by the president and members, to 1000s. Where’s the resolution against Islamophobia?”

Shortly after, she tweeted the video was “a little older,” but Falwell had already fired back at the congresswoman.
Ocasio-Cortez also addressed a second video that showed Falwell discussing guns, cows, and the Green New Deal.
