Maverick City CCM Artist, Bobbie Storm, Nearly Kicked off Plane for Disrupting Flight By Singing

Bobbie Storm, a contemporary Christian singer associated with the Maverick City Music label—a label also known for its popular artists like the pro-abortion rapper, Kirk Franklin, and a man who posts lewd images of himself on social media, Dante Bowe—was nearly kicked off of a flight last week after the flight leader repeatedly had to ask her to sit down and be quiet. Storm, apparently, was trying to sing to other passengers as she bragged about how she was up for Grammy awards.

Maverick City Music’s trajectory starkly mirrors the all-too-common tale of Christian artists succumbing to the siren call of secular allurements. Dante Bowe’s temporary expulsion for posting explicit images of himself on social media flagrantly flouts the Christian ethos of modesty. The collective’s flirtation with secular themes, notably in Bowe’s endorsement of an openly gay rapper and endorsement of sexually charged music, clearly conflicts with the sanctity expected of those professing Christian faith.

And another Maverick City Music star, Chandler Moore’s ambition to infuse secular music with sexual themes signifies a disquieting shift towards worldly acclaim over spiritual fidelity. This concerning trend is exacerbated by their association with Kirk Franklin, who, despite his professed gospel roots, has embraced music with explicit language and publicly supported abortion and homosexuality.

Maverick City Music’s conduct and alliances display a profound disconnect with the core tenets of Christian witness, prioritizing worldly fame and forsaking their spiritual mandate. This path not only contravenes the essence of Christian living but also risks misleading the faithful, eroding the integrity of Christian influence in the music sphere.
