I’m No Fan of Mark Driscoll, But He Nailed This One

I really feel like I need to disclaim this post with the fact that I really do not support or endorse Mark Driscoll in any way. That being said, I happened across a post of his on Twitter recently that put such an absurd debate for professing Christians quite succinctly. So don’t miss the more important point in the last paragraph.

The debate, which shouldn’t be a debate because it’s just so simple, is whether or not Christians should go to a gay wedding. The way Mark Driscoll handles this question and answers it seems like the perfectly obvious answer for a Bible-believing Christian. But for some reason, it’s not.

Should I attend a gay wedding of family or friends? If you are a Bible-believing, Jesus-loving, faithful Christian, I would say no. I would say you shouldn’t go to a gay wedding, you shouldn’t go to a strip club, you shouldn’t go to a drug den, and you shouldn’t go to a progressive Woke Church flying a rainbow flag.

Those are all places that are not best for God’s people.

Here’s a question. Why is it that Mark Driscoll, an unqualified, fallen, disgraced pastor with a history of terrible theology, is able to answer this stupid question so correctly while most Evangelical and Southern Baptist leaders can’t even mention it without 60 pounds of nuance and a thicket of ambiguity?

Parents Handing Their Children Over to Drag Queens is Despicable

These ... clowns. Literal clowns. Some dude, draped in cheap polyester sequins and a wig that reeks of desperation, sits there. He’s playing pretend with kids. He’s wearing a caricature of womanhood like a skin suit, and he’s doing it in front of a child.“Do I look...
