Job 38:39 states “From whose womb did the ice come forth, and who has given birth to the frost of heaven?” From this verse, various false prophets have arisen to argue that God is somehow feminine. However, this is the standard anthropomorphism that God uses to reveal his nature and character to us—in this case, as the creator of all things.
I don’t see from the scriptures that God has gender the same way that we do, but he refers to Himself universally in the masculine in His Word, therefore we are not at liberty to improvise or innovate on that. What can be said about something this manifestly ridiculous? Anybody in danger of being taken in by such a thing has no commitment to God’s truth whatsoever.
The eye of the Lord roams to and fro throughout the earth (2 Chronicles 16:9)—God doesn’t have eyes. The hand of the lord (Joshua 4:24, etc.)—God doesn’t have hands. He will cover you with His feathers (Psalm 91:4)—God is not a bird. Anybody with an ounce of actual interest in what the scriptures actually say, including most liberals actually, will understand this to be anthropomorphic figurative language.
The great giants of the faith engaged in figurative and metaphoric language all the time, to the glory of God. These reprobate demonic heretics are seizing upon figurative language to advance their death and perversion is standard practice nowadays.
